The assembly of LEDs with glue and the population with metal domes are important steps in the production chain of membrane keyboards and other flexible circuits. Up to now these tasks were difficult to automate. The new FLX2010-MK is a complete production cell for all required assembly operations: dispensing of glue and conductive adhesives as well as placement of LEDs, other SMD components and metal domes. All tasks can be completed in one single machine.

Two machine models are available: FLX2010-MK with a placement area of 500x300 mm (19.7x11.8”) or FLX2010-MKL for larger size boards up to 800x600 mm (31.5x23.6 mm). The standard machines feature a vacuum table for flexible substrates. The pick and place head uses a touchless laser centring system for component alignment. Optionally two glue dispensing systems can be attached and feeders for all kind of SMD components and metal domes are available.
