Semi-automatic Pick and Placement provides a lot more benefits than manual placing. The main reason is the increase in efficiency and quality. The software creates a placement plan and controls the placement sequence, guiding all operator movements. The operators movements are monitored to ensure the correct component is picked and placed in the correct position. The virtual component display assists the operator to ensure correct component orientation. With the addition of the CAD converting software, a placement program can be created in seconds, ensuring that even for prototyping the PCB can be placed efficiently and correctly from the first board. With the ability to work with all component types on the EXPERT system, the implementation of 0201 or Fine Pitch components is reachable. Additionally a solder paste or glue program is generated instantly from the placement program. The dispensing is also software controlled so forgetting to dispense dots is avoided.
