Four-six resistors must be placed and soldered for every meter. The required resistors are determined by the customer using an independent test system, the values are then saved on the host computer. The first module will then dispense solder paste on the pads for the resistors. Before the meter reaches the second module a Bar Code reader identifies the meter and the required resistor values are read from the host computer. The second module then places the required resistors and finally the third module selectively solders the resistors in place.
