Essemtec Introduces New hyQ Feeder Cart
The new hyQ-Feeder Cart from Essemtec holds up to 90 feeders and reels. The cart simplifies the set-up of SMD pick-and-place machines and facilitates feeder handling.
Ninety fully loaded feeders are quite heavy but, with Essemtec’s hyQ-Feeder Cart, they can be moved through production quickly. The cart also doubles as an easily accessible feeder storage platform.
Especially when pick-and-place machines and component storage are not in the same location, the feeder cart is an indispensable assistant. It serves as storage for feeders used for the next job as well as a repository for feeders disassembled from the pick-and-place machine.
All types of hyQ feeders can be mounted on the cart including component reels. Additionally, transporting feeders in the cart is safe because the door and elevator thresholds will not allow the feeders to fall out. Nevertheless, mounting and dismounting feeders from the cart is simple and easy.
The Feeder Cart features a slim, agile design, allowing it to be easily pushed around tight production floors. Two racks for 45 feeders each are arranged above each other, saving space and simplifying accessibility. Additionally, the feeder cart’s 360° wheels allow users to push it in any direction.
The cart is delivered as an add-on to the SMD pick-and-place systems Cobra and Paraquda. Essemtec also supplies feeder racks for table mount, for example, to install fixed feeder storage near the pick-and-place machine.
