Essemtec AG is opening Essemtec Benelux

Essemtec Switzerland has announced that as of April 2009, the new subsidiary Essemtec Benelux will be responsible for all activities of the Swiss SMT equipment supplier regarding Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. The first official presentation will be at the Electronics & Automation exhibition in Utrecht (27th – 29th of May 2009).

Tom Van Tongelen, former sales manger at Contax Benelux, is responsible for Essemtec Benelux. The office is located in Herselt, Belgium. Essemtec with the new subsidiary a local service and support organisation to fully support the customer's requirements. With Tom Van Tongelen, a strong partner who knows the Benelux market could be won. “We are really satisfied, that we could win Tom Van Tongelen for our new step in the market. For us, Benelux is one of the major markets in Europe, with a high potential of our target group of prototyping to midsize customers,” explains Peter Müller, Area Sales Manger for Benelux.

Essemtec Benelux offers and supports complete product range for entry level machines for SMD manufacturing. Directly from manufacturer to end-user, the equipment covers prototyping up to mid volume production. Their engineers have long years experience in SMT technology and can offer both, machine and process trainings.

Essemtec Benelux will be official presented for the first time at the Electronics & Automation exhibition at Utrecht 27th – 29th of May 2009 (booth B051). Beside the official presentation, Essemtec Benelux will show a complete turnkey line, including the semi automatic printer SP150, the fully automatic pick and place system FLX2011 and the reflow oven RO300FC. For prototyping the manual pick and place system Expert will be shown too.

The SP150 is an affordable fine pitch printer available with vision alignment. Setup and changeover are quick tasks when using this printer. Therefore, this machine is perfect for the production of small to midsize batches. It controls all important print parameters. It prints reproducibly and precisely independent of the operator.
The SP150 ensures best prerequisites for fine pitch printing: the vision system and the integrated stencil cleaning guarantee the perfect alignment and proper print conditions. Due to its space saving design with a front drawer, the SP150 is well suited

for small and medium size enterprises.

The FLX2011 pick & place machine is state of the art. It offers an extraordinary application range, ideal for high mix production. It features easy programming and set-up, an intelligent feeder and inventory concept and enables changeover with no downtime. The machine provides leading production technology, based on the experience on over 1'000 installations worldwide.

The feeders of the FLX-system are automatically recognised by the machine to eliminate programming time. A bar code based set up procedure avoids wrong loaded parts and ensures the highest possible quality level. Beside this the intelligent, light weight and ultra-compact feeders can safely be exchanged while the machine is in production. The universal magnetic PCB holder enables quick changeover. No tooling is required for format change. The bottom clearance is very large to produce double sided PCB or to install customer specific substrate holders. These features make the FLX2011 to one of the most flexible machines in the market.

The RO300FC exclusively heats with hot air convection and can be used for the different tasks in SMT assembly, especially for the reflow soldering of lead free solder pastes or the curing of adhesives. It features easy operation, perfect reflow results and a robust construction. It is well suited for continuous production, small batch manufacturing and prototyping.

The EXPERT placement system is designed for rapid prototyping and small batch manufacturing. The integrated dispensing system and hot air soldering tool make this machine a complete production center in one single unit. Over 2000 systems are in daily use worldwide.
