Essemtec celebrates 20th anniversary
2011 will be an anniversary year for Essemtec. The Swiss company becomes 20 years old. Essemtec has grown from a small business to an international provider of production systems.
Essemtec's CEO Martin Ziehbrunner is planning several events for staff, customers and partners throughout the anniversary year. Being asked about the anniversary, Ziehbrunner says: “It is an acknowledgement of good performance and an incentive for the future, but not a reason to relax.”
This dynamic has been characteristic for Essemtec since its founding in 1991 by Alfred Ziehbrunner, the father of today's CEO. With inexhaustible creativity and strong target-orientation, the Ziehbrunner family has turned the small three-person-company into a leading machine manufacturer.
Twenty years ago, Essemtec mainly distributed small devices for electronics assembly. Today, in addition to electronics, the company offers production systems across numerous other industries, including LED manufacturing, solar, medical technology and aerospace. Additionally, there are many customers from other industries for which Essemtec develops and builds customer-specific systems.
