Reflow- and curing oven with freely configurable zones

The RO-VARIO from Essemtec is a reflow and curing oven which features a unique modularity and flexibility and can be used for a wide range of soldering and curing applications in electronics, solar and industrial productions. During development of the system requirements from process specialists, service engineers and operators have been considered. The RO-VARIO is an oven with outstanding characteristics regarding user friendliness, process control, easy maintenance and reliability.
The RO-VARIO features a modular design which covers the number of heating and cooling zones as well as the transport system and the process technology. The oven can be configured as full convection reflow oven for lead free soldering, as IR curing oven with specially slow transport speed or as UV curing system.
The process width of 600 mm can be used completely either with a mesh belt transport system or divided by several parallel transport chains. The option "chain over mesh" enables the combination of both systems which features total flexibility for all production situations.
The integrated PC control system allows to save programs for different profiles. By software control the oven prepares itself for the next production: chain and middle support positions are being set automatically, chains are lubricated if necessary and the process zones are heated to the desired temperatures. Only if all parameters are according to the specifications, readiness is signalled the operator or the previous equipment.
The RO-VARIO is optimized regarding life time, uptime and maintenance effort. All drive elements are thermal uncoupled. Therefore, temperature loads are smaller and life time is extended compared to other systems without this measure. The number of motors is reduced to an absolute minimum. Blowers are connected with a slip free belt system and do only require one motor per blower row. This system has considerable advantages:
1. The air flow inside the oven is known and stable at any time. There can not be lateral currents that could disturb the temperature distribution.
2. Stable air flow in combination with the special heat chamber design guarantee smallest Delta-T values over the complete process width.
3. The rotary speed of all blowers can be controlled with one sensor only.
4. Less motors result in a smaller failure probability of the complete system and therefore a longer life time and uptime.
Should even so anything break on the RO-VARIO, the oven will be up and running in no time. The oven has good all side access and all elements can be exchanged quickly. All chambers are equipped with similar parts. Therefore, the number of spare parts is minimal.
