Essemtec to Invest in More Efficient Car Fleet

Press release

Essemtec, the Swiss manufacturer of production system, will replace its European car fleet with modern, energy-saving models. This strategy will reduce the company’s operating costs and reduce CO2.

“Opel’s EcoFLEX technology suits us,” said CEO Martin Ziehbrunner. In April 2011 the company replaced all the vehicles of European service and sales staff with new environmentally friendly vehicles. EcoFLEX is a holistic approach that provides customers with cars that offer higher performance with less effort. “In this respect, our SMD pick-and-place machines are exactly the same,” added Ziehbrunner. “Our machines are highly efficient and use less energy and time, too”.

Essemtec invests in a modern car fleet of thirty new Opel Astra and Insignia with EcoFLEX technology. These cars are more efficient because they make use of the full optimization potential of motor and vehicle. Essemtec expects remarkable cost-savings from the lower fuel consumption. Additionally, the new models reduce CO2 pollution and protect the environment.
