Archimedean Screw Valve

Uses an archimedean screw for fluid conveying. Can dispense fluids with weak fillers, such as solder paste. Precise and fast valve.
- Precise volume control
- Reproducible results
- Fluids with fillers
- Fast dispensing
The archimedean screw valve is a high precision valve. It has no opening/closing parts and no dead volumes. The dispensing volume only depends on the rotation of the screw and it's thread.
Applications
- SMD glue dot
- SMD solder paste
- Conductive glue
- Dam & fill
- Glob top/blob top
| Features | Benefits | |
| Exchangeable thread | Quick adaptation of the valve to more or less dispensing volume per turn. The same valve can be used for high volume filling tasks or small volume dot dispensing. | |
| No sealings | Reliable dispensing of filled fluids such as solder paste or conductive epoxy. | |
| Exchangeable valve assembly | The screw valve assembly is made from plastic, which is much more economical than a metal valve. It can easily be taken apart and cleaned or be replaced if material has been dried out in it. | |
| Stepper motor or DC motor with encoder | Accurate rotation angle control which controls the dispensed volume. |
|
| With the CDS-DSV both dispensing modes are possible: touchless or with a stand-off. With a stand-off, the distance between the needle and the substrate can be varied preciseliy with a sleeve ring. |
| The screw valve assembly can be completely dismounted for cleaning. However, it is a plastic part that can be economically exchanged if the fluid is hardened inside. |
